About Ronlyn Therapy

Ronlyn Therapy was founded on a shared belief that everyone deserves access to high-quality, compassionate therapeutic support. Our team brings together experienced, fully qualified therapists who are accredited members of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP), working to the highest professional and ethical standards.

Gary and Nicola are both integrative therapists, drawing on a rich range of therapeutic modalities to offer truly personalised support. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, we work with each client as an individual, tailoring our practice to what will be most effective for them. Between us we offer one-to-one counselling and psychotherapy, couples and relationship counselling, and Single Session Therapy, both in person in East Ayrshire and worldwide via video conferencing and telephone.

We are passionate about what we do. Therapy, at its best, is a genuinely transformative experience and we are committed to creating the conditions in which that can happen for every person who walks through our door, or connects with us from wherever they are in the world.

About Gary

I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist based in East Ayrshire, working with adults on a one-to-one basis. I hold MBACP Accredited status, which reflects a sustained commitment to ethical, high-quality practice and to continuing to develop as a therapist.

My approach is integrative, meaning I draw from a range of established therapeutic frameworks rather than working from a single model. I work with attachment theory, exploring how early relational experiences shape the way we connect, protect ourselves, and relate to others in adult life. I also draw on Schema Therapy, which helps identify deep-rooted patterns of thinking and feeling that can keep us stuck, and works toward understanding and gently challenging those patterns over time.

At the heart of my practice is the belief that the relationship between therapist and client matters as much as any technique or model. People come to therapy carrying all kinds of things: grief, anxiety, relationship difficulties, a sense that something is not quite right but they cannot name it. Whatever brings you, my aim is to offer a space that feels genuinely safe, non-judgemental, and honest.

I came to counselling through a long-standing interest in how people make sense of themselves and their lives, and through recognising that the most meaningful conversations I had, professionally and personally, were the ones that went beneath the surface. That interest continues to shape the way I work.

About Nicola

I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist based in East Ayrshire, offering counselling for adults both on an individual basis and through couples therapy. As an MBACP Accredited practitioner, I am committed to providing ethical, compassionate, and professional support.

I work as a relational counsellor and believe that our relationships — with others and with ourselves — shape how we experience life. Creating a therapeutic relationship that feels safe, supportive, and genuine is central to the way I work.

My approach is integrative, drawing from psychodynamic and person-centred approaches to support deeper understanding, self-awareness, and meaningful change. In my work with couples, I also draw on Gottman theory to support communication, strengthen connection, and help couples better understand the patterns within their relationship.

People come to therapy for many different reasons — anxiety, grief, relationship difficulties, feeling stuck, or simply sensing that something does not feel right. Whatever brings you, my aim is to offer a calm, non-judgemental space where you feel heard and supported to explore things at a pace that feels right for you.
